One more stop on the furry farm and it's at another title whose creators
are making a statement about providing general-audience material for furry
fans (and everyone else).

Vicky Morgan-Keith and Patrick Keith have created a wilderness fantasy
with darling wide-eyed wolf pups that could've come straight out of Bone
with cute names that could've come straight out of Elfquest.
(Quickpaw, Blackmane, Dewdrop, Fleabag - do you think there's some kind
of shareware darling-name generator floating around out there?)

In Ernor, young Fenrae pup Whitepaw comes up with an idea when
his pack is attacked by some rampaging giant ants: Ask others for
help. Naturally, when it's your idea, you're the one that gets made
to do it. (They may be in a fantasy world, but it's just like here.)
Whitepaw leaves on his journey in #1 and, by # 2 has found himself in the
middle of a jam involving some giant lizards.

Morgan-Keith has a clean line and it's not as hard to tell the animals
apart as you might expect. Issue #1 has some wilderness violence
(the wolves take down a deer) that's depicted more graphically than might
be suitable for all ages, but # 2 is more cartoony in its combat - and
the back covers show that she's isolated the "awww" factor that may make
the difference for this title.
(Still don't think I caught what an Ernor is, though...)
